CropForecaster - Looking down and looking up to look forward

What is CropForecaster?

CropForecaster is an online service that combines satellite imagery (looking down) with model simulations (looking up) to create decision support products (look forward) for agricultural decision making, including field production, market projections, gene performance, grain drying, biofuels, and global transport.

The cost and availability of satellite imagery has kept it out-of-reach for most sustainable uses. Model simulations provide a realistic agronomic picture of crop development, but it is limited by local spatial uncertainties.

CropForecaster combines the strengths of both approaches into a powerful decision-support service.
