ZedX, Inc. Acquires Climate Assessment Technology, Inc. of Houston, Texas.

BELLEFONTE, PA - March 31, 2008 - ZedX Inc. has acquired Climate Assessment Technology (CAT), Inc. of Houston, Texas. CAT is a 28-year old R & D company that has been on the forefront of developing weather and climate data, information, tools and techniques for agricultural, engineering, and architectural users. At the initiation of the personal computer era, the Weather Analyst© and Crop Weather Analyst© software packages became widely used by both professionals and amateurs. The major recent focus of CAT has been the development and large-area applications of crop models that form the basis for CAT's Weekly CMR Update system.

Dr. Richard Stuff, CAT founder and president, will be part of ZedX's modeling group. He will shuttle between CAT's Houston office and Bellefonte, PA beginning April 1 of this year. Richard (B.S. The Pennsylvania State University - MS and PhD Purdue University) has lead CAT's agricultural applications since its founding and has "constructed" the AL3 system almost in its entirety. Before beginning CAT, Richard worked in the LACIE and Agristars (NASA-NOAA-USDA) Projects at the Johnson Space Center.

With the acquisition of Climate Assessment Technology, Inc. and the hiring of Dr. Richard Stuff, ZedX, Inc. is continuing to enhance its modeling and applications team for the development and distribution of next generation technologies in the areas of agricultural production, commodity yield forecast, climate adaptation and climate modeling.
